  • Overview

    The Recruiter is responsible for screening, interviewing and referring the most qualified applicants to hiring managers


    * Works with Talent Acquisition Specialist to effectively market open positions positively as "opportunities" while providing applicants with a realistic job preview; presents Bethesda as a premier provider of services* Establishes, cultivates and maintains ongoing relationships with management in order to understand recruitment needs and identify skills needed for vacancies. Attends departmental staff and other meetings as requested to acquire substantial knowledge about department's business obejectives, goals, operations and work culture* Conducts daily calls with potential candidates to build pipeline of applicants to meet common and unique staffing needs; updates candidates on the hiring process and ensures a smooth transition post-hire* Partners with Regional HR Director, Talent Acquisition Specialist and regional management to develop and implement the regional recruitment plan* Manages established selection process to include initial interviewing to screen for basic qualifications* Collects data and statistics for use in designing recruitment plans and measuring the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts* Other duties as assigned


    Education and/or Experience: * Relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Management, Psychology, Human Resources) or equivalent combination of education and / or experience required* A minimum of two years of related experience recruiting active and passive candidates required* Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing tasks and delivering both high quality and high volume of candidates* Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook* Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with a HRIS system a plus Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: * Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record as defined by BethesdaPhysical Demands: * Ability to sit or stand for up to 6 hours/day* Some lifting, bending, and carryingOther Competencies (skills, abilities, behaviors): * Must possess a commitment to the belief that all people have the right to dignity, respect, opportunity and full community inclusion* Must have a philosophy that is consistent with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the organization* Ability to act as a consultant to regional leadership and management teams* Strong time management skills* Excellent communication skills and ability to foster relationships with employees at all levels within the organization* Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives* Strong interpersonal, persuasion and creative problem skills are required* Must be able to adapt to a variety of human resource issues with successful outcomes and demonstrate openness to new ideas and approaches* Strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment and have demonstrated initiatves for recruiting for diversity* Must be able to manage competing demands, accept criticism and constructive feeback, while being extremely adpatable and flexible
    Experience in iCIMS applicant tracking a plus.
